The Unfair Advantage Of (gen)AI Users
The other day, I exported a set of HTML files from an application. However I needed them in text format and in one big file to process further.
Today's newsletter is sponsored by my brand new free 3-Day AI-Assisted Decision-Making Challenge!
A quick search told me I would need to write a bit of code myself (of course, with the help of ChatGPT) because the free web-based tools out there didn’t do what I needed to convert HTML to text and then merge them together for 80+ files.
But instead of writing this small script just for myself, I figured I could track my time and check how long it took for me to create a web application that does just this one thing but for everyone.
It took me not even 60 minutes, and it’s out there:

I know what you’re saying in your head right now “That’s not a big deal; Sven can now code little shitty mini apps.”
This might look like a small thing, but small things can make all the difference. This enables people like me to create things not just for themselves but to make them easily available to everyone. Small difference, big outcome.
That’s an unfair advantage for everyone who knows how to use AI, an unfair advantage that gives rise to what I call the Creative Builder.
