I recently stumbled over Airbyte’s API connector announcement. Airbyte is a data platform that can help you create connectors just from reading plain API documentation.
That’s pretty awesome.
It’s also a good example of the concept of a general-purpose technology. Airbyte is a data platform that allows people to build generative AI applications faster. It uses generative AI to help you build any application faster, and I bet they are heavy internal users of generative AI.
That’s a true GPT (general purpose technology).
